LAIKA / Serie: Dog Lovers

English

Using the attention to detail and finesse that I’ve acquired over the years by attaching labels, these pieces blend with the new materials I’ve incorporated into my work.

With this, I chose the beings I love most—those who give us the most tenderness and love—to capture the details of their little faces and reflect the love with which they look at us.

“Dog Lovers” is the best of me… for dogs!!!

In particular, Laika is a tribute to the unwitting protagonist of the history of space exploration. The work invites us to reflect on the price of progress and our relationship with animals, reminding us that behind major events there are stories that deserve to be recognized.
